Hello everybody,
At reading, we read about Cesar Chavez. Tomorrow we are going to read about Michelle Kwan, an ice skater. Today we had gym and Mr. Gladfelter told us we could play our favorite game for the rest of the period--Star Wars. We skipped Rocket Math so we could finish our videos. Everybody finished their PhotoStory this afternoon.

Good evening!
Today it is I, Mrs. Haun, posting for the class. We began the day with our last Study Island reading benchmark, and I was thrilled about how intensely, carefully, and quietly the class worked. It certainly showed up in the scores! SO MANY improvements! It seems that our hard work is paying off. After that, the class played their recorders in music. We raced through Rocket Math and had some catch-up time before lunch. Today was the first green light recess in what seemed like months! After recess, we switched teachers for math. My math class worked on fractions, but other classes worked on measurement. Then it was time for our class picture for the yearbook, and after eating a little snack and free writing, we walked to the gym for a yearbook picture of the whole third grade! There were so many students! We were lucky to have a Dental Health assembly in the LGI. We saw pictures of what could happen to our teeth if we don't brush and floss--YUCK! I left for a meeting, and Mrs. Blizzard watched the class until the end of the day (which is why no students could post today). I actually saw her at the grocery store after school, and she commented on how respectful and well-behaved my class was. Since Mrs. Blizzard complimented the class, I will put a 3rd (!!!) cotton ball into the cup for the day. We are getting closer and closer to a class party!
Here's hoping to many more 3-cotton-ball days to come!

Hello Historions of the world and welcome to all the facts.
Today in reading the kid scientists We did a packet called Ed and Fred wow they are diffrent! We also did reading groups. Blue group read Daniel Boone. We discovered Special it was Gym. In word study we had a test!!!! At lunch we had a superb meal. In math we had another test! During writing we were in the computer lab finishing our How To projects.
And that is all the facts we have for today!

HELLO SUPER SMART PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was valentine's day and we passed out cards! Then we went around the classroom complimenting each other.We saw are 1st grade buddies at there classroom.
We went to GYM class and we did jump roping.Then we did rocket math.Then went to lunch and had recess. Then we had math class and in Mrs.Marshmans class played bingo the whole time.

Hello DANCER'S!
Today we read a book called Porch Lie's by Patricia C. Mckissack.Then,when the book was over,we had guided reading.After that we had special,wich was library.When we came back to the classroom,we went to word-study.Next we had lunch and reccess.It was freezing cold out there,man!Then we came in for math.Then it was time for writing and Mrs. Lubaszewski came in and tought us about making friend's.Then,we had social studie's.We learned about Martin's Potato Chips and Utz Potato Chips. Then it was time to pack up.

WHAT'S up dudes and dudettes
First, we did reading. In reading we read going some place special. Next we moviestars went to gym to workout. Then rocket math started adding and subtract to the moon. After that writing time we did a biopoem. We typed the biopoem so we could work out our fingers. We talked about doughnuts in social studies. It made my tummy growl.

IF YOU ARE WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TODAY I WILL TELL YOU.
In reading we did something called a RAFT response on the computer.After special we had Rocket math there are letters from A to Z.Then we had reading groups.The groups are named after colors. Then we had lunch and math.In writing we started a Bio poem. During Social Studies we read things about York Barbell and stuff like that.

Good evening!
Today we read Precious and the Boo Hag by Patricia C. McKissack. The class enjoyed it so much, we finished the book today instead of saving the second half for tomorrow.
We used Study Island and the clickers to practice prefixes and suffixes.
We worked in groups to learn about the contributions of the early settlers in Pennsylvania during social studies. Each group wrote it on a jigsaw piece of whiteboard to share with the class, and then we took notes.
